Jeselyn's Letter to Mom
by Jonna Marie
Easter time is one of Jeselyn & my favorite memories of our last holiday we spent together. The first Easter in April 2000, after her death, Jeselyn sent me a 'sign' to let me know that she was fine, and that although I could not see her...she was with me none the less, and, very much 'aware' of what was going on in my life.
Imagine my surprise this year on Easter 2001, when for no reason my printer spit out this letter which voiced the words I would have liked to have given Jeselyn, my beautiful, sweet daughter, had she still been alive and with me... it read...
__________
Life's Instructions from Me to You
If I had just a moment to tell you all I know or want to know, and then to wish you well, I would tell you...
"Don't miss a day of your life. Find ways to make each day matter, to you, another, to the world. Develop, listen to, nurture, and trust your instincts."
"You will compete in life, but, life is not a competition - it is a gift to be shared."
"Don't be afraid to fall down, please don't be afraid to get back up. And, don't be afraid of being afraid, because everyone is sometimes."
"I am prouder of who you are than what you will do."
"Treasure the many special people in your life, and know that you are one of them".
"Remember that we are all part of something bigger than life, and although we may not always understand exactly what that means, I am grateful to have shared a part of life with you. ...and I want you to know, I'll always be here for you."

Coincidence? I think not.
I believe without a doubt that she is still with me - then and now...
