The Picture From Jeselyn

by Jonna Marie

Eastertime will forever be a favorite of mine, and Jeselyn's . Her last Easter here on earth she spent with me, and we shared an extra 'closeness' in our mother daughter relationship. One where we had so much fun together. It was such a special time... We became closer during that time, and I cannot explain it, but, we seemed to have reached an understanding of our bond to the other. As she had said ,"time and distance would never change our love for each other..." It is eternal...

The first Easter without her had been devestating for me, all week I had cried, and told her, "I love you, Jese..." , my heart still aching from losing her. As the sun was coming up on Easter morning in the year 2000...she sent me a most precious gift I found. Looking through a box of old paperwork I came across an envelope in child like printing. I opened the envelope realizing it was a picture she had drawn when she was about 5 years old. It was a bluebird flying, a tree and the sun shining in this picture she had drawn. And, as if in answer to my cries of , "I love you Jese..."

across the envelope she had printed....

I LOVE YOU TOO...

In my heart & in my mind I know that it was her way of telling me that she is still with me, ALWAYS.
