Butterfly Kiss

When I went to Pavo for GOSSIP July 2001, I was very relaxed and enjoyed meeting with everyone. Sunday morning I woke up early and went outside for a cigarette. Since it was so early I was sitting on Karyl's front porch instead of walking around to the back yard because the grass was wet with morning dew. The morning air was cool and I was enjoying looking at Karyl's sunflowers in her garden. I had my head turned and saw something on my left. I turned my head quickly to the left and a small white butterfly fluttered its wings on my left cheek. There was no other butterflies around just this one small white butterfly. I thought to myself I was imagining it because it was so cool outside and no other butterflies were around. I went inside and Karyl was on the computer and I told her about my sign. I didn't know if it was a sign or not actually. I was doubting myself as I so often do these days. I went outside again and was walking to the backyard for yet another cigarette and as I passed the sunflowers a small white butterfly came out of the sunflowers and crossed my path. I was shocked and just stood there and watched the butterfly flutter its way down the street. It was like John was telling me yes you did see this and it is a sign. It was so peaceful and I just stood there in amazement.
